An airport is the starting point for exciting discoveries all over the world; it is part of the travel experience. As the gateway to Hungary, the Hungarian capital’s Ferenc Liszt International Airport would like to provide space for Hungarian art and cultural life as well, so that passengers arriving and departing from Hungary can get to know and discover Hungarian works of art and artistic values, according to the managing company Budapest Airport.
The company, in partnership with the Kovács Gábor Art Foundation (KOGART), invites travelers from Budapest on a fascinating artistic adventure in Pier B of the airport. The eight works of art featured in the exhibition will transport visitors into the world of fine art, creating a unique and inimitable atmosphere within the walls of the pier. The eight-painting exhibition consists of five individual works and one three-part work, each of which can be interpreted individually. The exhibition includes paintings in abstract style, the multifaceted use of the forest motif and impressionist paintings.
Since its establishment in 2004, the primary goal of the KOGART Foundation has been to popularize Hungarian art, in particular contemporary art, both in Hungary and abroad. The Foundation owns about 2500 works by more than 350 artists, including many works of museum value.
