The Californian metal band has only been to Hungary once in their 25-year career, but next year Avenged Sevenfold will play their first solo show in Budapest Park on 19 June 2025.
Formed 25 years ago, the band has released eight studio albums to date, with their latest, Life Is But A Dream..., released seven years after their previous album in 2023. The band have always been pioneers in their genre, and with this latest album they have embarked on a truly bold experimentation. Avenged Sevenfold's modern hard rock songs, their ever-evolving sound following the band's creative twists and turns, are so elemental to the band's loyal followers that it's almost part of their DNA. Thanks to their muscular melodies, intense sound and adventurous spirit, A7X's anthems have been played more than two billion times, sold more than 10 million records worldwide, had two consecutive albums reach number one on the Billboard 200 Top Albums chart and have had several songs top the rock charts.
Since its formation in Huntington Beach, California, in 1999, the band combined a passion for extreme music and subculture with a determination to blaze its own path. Their newest record Life Is But A Dream… is designed to provoke and inspire, courageously broadening the New Wave Of American Heavy Metal sound pioneered by the band with confidence, attitude, and intention
Upending predictable conventions without sacrificing hooks, the band’s eighth album champions discomfort, tension, rage, and groove with esoteric abandon, exploring the absurdity of life and death. At the forefront of rapidly changing technology, cultural mile markers, and new ways for communities to engage, Avenged Sevenfold is steadily constructing its own ecosystem in real time, existing in a symbiotic relationship with its audience based on complete trust and mutual respect. The band has only been to Hungary once in their quarter-century career, at the VOLT Festival in 2018, but next year they will finally make it to Budapest as part of their European tour to make up for lost time with their fans in Hungary on 19 June at Budapest Park.
Tickets will first be available to registered Live Nation members from 10am on 5 December, with general ticket sales starting at 10am on 6 December.
