After the summer trial run, the Four Points by Sheraton Budapest Danube hotel in Újlipótváros (in District 13) has been officially inaugurated, the first unit of the Marriott International hotel chain's special brand in Budapest, according to Polat Holding, the investor of the Duna Pearl real estate development.
The Duna Pearl is a multifunctional real estate development with both residential and commercial areas, which was completed with the inauguration ceremony of the hotel and became the new center of the district, they added.
Opened directly on the banks of the Danube, the new hotel is managed by Accent Hotel Management.
They pointed out that the facility will add to the tourist offer of the 13th district with 105 guest rooms and a rooftop bar; not only the rooftop bar on the 9th floor, but also most of the rooms overlook the Danube and Margaret Island.
Polat Holding Chairman Adnan Polat was of the view in a statement that the project is one of the most important jewels in the group's real estate investment activities.
Dávid Hegedűs, General Manager of the Four Points by Sheraton Budapest Danube, said in the statement that the feedback from guests since the opening has been extremely positive and the hotel's occupancy rate is on track.
The Duna Pearl is located at the mouth of Pozsonyi Street in the 13th district on the Pest side of the Danube, and the project includes around 193 apartments, several cafés and restaurants in addition to the hotel.
The Duna Pearl development cost around EUR 75 million, of which the hotel cost around EUR 20 million.
