Hanabie. is an all-girl metalcore band from Tokyo who, despite their girlish appearance, are a heavy riffing force. The band is going on a European tour this fall, so we can catch them at Dürer Kert on November 23.

    Hanabie. formed in Tokyo in 2015 at a high school club activity and the band members have been making waves with their music ever since. The band, made up of Yukina, Matsuri, Hettsu and Chika, has developed over the years into a force to be reckoned with: their cute, girly image is not to be fooled, their music is a hard-hitting mix of powerful screams, heavy riffs and a unique Japanese vibe. Their hit single Pardon Me, I Have To Go Now has been viewed by over 8.3 million people on YouTube, with a further 5 million views on TikTok. Hanabie. released their latest EP, Bucchigiri Tokyo, last December, which is further proof of their dynamic sound and distinctive style.

    The band began touring overseas in 2023, and in August 2024, they made history by becoming the first Japanese women to play the main stage at Lollapalooza in Chicago. With a rapidly growing international fan base, Hanabi. will surely find an enthusiastic reception in Europe. The band, who will also perform at Sziget, is preparing for its first headline Budapest show on 23 November at Dürer Kert. Tickets for the concert go on sale on 5 March at 10am.
