More than 150 Hungarian wine and sparkling wine brands will participate with a total of 700 items at the Winelovers Grand 2024 launch tasting, where around 100 wines from international wineries will be available for tasting on April 6 at the Corinthia Hotel Budapest.
This year's Winelovers Grand will again offer a broad insight into the world of wines: in addition to lighter white wines, rosés and fruity red wines, a good number of sparkling wines made using traditional methods, fuller-bodied red wines aged in barrels, as well as natural sweet wines and Tokaj aszú will be available for tasting at the stands, the organizers told MTI.
According to the statement, in the Trifecta Room, which has the largest selection, visitors can meet Hungarian winemakers and taste the wines at a table in the Top Wines and International Wines room.
Education is a priority for the organizers every year, and the Wine College and the London-based Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) will be their partners. Throughout the event, visitors will be able to participate in free professional pop-up tasting sessions.
The organizers have also created 200 discounted tickets for young people aged 18-25 who wish to attend one of the free tasting sessions, and a further 200 discounted tickets for wine professionals.
