InterContinental Budapest is the first Hotel in Budapest to be accredited as a COVID-19 Kontroll Plusz Hotel.

In cooperation with the Élelmiszerbiztonsági Tanácsadó Kft, a detailed audit has been performed by EHACCP – an independent Consultancy – ensuring the Hotel provides the highest level of service & safety measures to its guests in the current pandemic of Covid 19.

This accreditation is a testimonial of the Hotel showcasing that its number one priority is its guest’s health, safety, and well-being. Additionally it demonstrates that the Hotel is following comprehensive health and safety procedures, guidelines and best practices and has also enhanced its cleaning methods and increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting of all, high traffic public areas and surfaces. Furthermore Hand sanitizers have been placed all around the hotel’s public areas and colleagues have been re-trained on additional hygiene actions. “We are very proud of being the first hotel in Budapest that has reached COVID-19 Kontroll Plusz accreditation”, says General Manager Peter Pottinga, “and we are confident to provide our guests a safe and secure environment for their stay with us here in Budapest.”
