New General Manager shall lead InterContinental Budapest into an exciting new decade.

After almost 7 years Claus Geisselmann has taken on the General Manager position of the Regent Berlin. In his stead, a Dutch national, an avid traveller and a tourism industry expert, Peter Pottinga was chosen. With over 20 years of experience in the IHG family across many countries and numerous departments, Peter Pottinga is the ideal new leader of the iconic property in the heart of the Hungarian capital. Mr. Pottinga has held Senior Manager and General Manager positions from the United States, through Europe to China and he and his family has spent over 3 years in the neighboring Bratislava, during which time, thanks to multiple visits to the city, they fell in love with both our region, our country and the people who make it so unique. “I look forward to being a part of the dynamic tourism growth in Hungary and am excited to experience the versatile capital of the Pearl of the Danube” said Peter Pottinga when he joined the team of InterContinental Budapest earlier this August.
