The capital's municipality has prepared a restart package for the companies involved in tourism and hospitality. Among other things, they will increase the possibilities of using public space, waive the rent for terraces almost completely and extend the discount on room rentals.
Among other things, they want to increase the use of public space and extend the maximum discount on room rent until December 31, 2021. The administrative burden of organizing events will also be reduced.
Freight transport points will be set up in the vicinity of the catering shops concerned, with a view to eliminating the loading problems caused by the parking situation.
For event organizers, open offices, free offices and meeting rooms will be set up in capital-owned premises. An information help desk related to the reopening will also be set up for event organizers, where they can get real and authentic information about the regulations. In connection with this, epidemiological protocol advice is also provided within the framework of the Budapest brand.
Public space usage fees for events organized by the state administration would be collected in an event fund and the sector would be directly supported from this. It would also encourage government agencies to pay a public space usage fee for each event.
The capital is also planning a communication campaign to encourage consumption, and the 'Reopening Campaign' will promote the events. Their goal for the city is to be able to open as soon as possible and for companies that have provided many people with jobs to be able to operate again.
