The Grand Budapest Festival is opening its doors the very first time of January 17-18., 2019. The festival is an annual event dedicated to independent filmmakers from all over the world.
Budapest celebrating independent cinema in the heart of lively Budapest. Puskin Mozi, one of the city’s oldest art cinemas, provides a perfect venue for the event, created for the culture-loving, cinephile, international crowd of the city.
The festival’s aim is to provide a platform for filmmakers who don’t necessarily have a large budget, but a vision and an important story to tell. Through the careful selection process, the organiser goal is to showcase a wide variety of genres and styles to cinema fans and fellow international filmmakers. The festival lasts both days from 8pm to 11pm. On Friday will announce the award winners in a short ceremony.
