Művészetek Völgye (Valley of Arts) takes place near the northern shore of Lake Balaton, approx. 150 km from Budapest, in a number of tiny villages: Kapolcs, Taliándörögd and Vigántpetend. Hungary's largest multi-art festival welcomes visitors with 26 stages and 40 exhibition yards.
The secret of its constantly growing popularity lies in its liberated atmosphere, according to most visitors. This year’s festival on July 19 - 28 will feature fairs and family programs, poetry and movie nights, yoga and cooking workshops, in addition to a number of blues, folk, pop, rock and jazz concerts. Both Hungarian bands and international performers will step on stage, such as Alice Francis, the Boban Markovic Orkestar, Amber Run, the Carbonfools, Sian Evans Kosheen, the High Corporation, the Mary Popkids, the Quimby, Anna and the Barbies, Anima Sound System, and the Muzsikás, to name only a few.
