Budapest Airport, powered by VINCI Airports, believes that there is talent in everyone, but it really shines when it finds its place. However, to find the job where one can really soar, we must first get to know ourselves better. The company’s new employer brand campaign is based on this belief: a short personality test enables anyone to find out what type of employee they are and what area of work suits them best, based on their strengths and skills, and if they are attracted to the world of airports, what position would be the best fit for them there.
Working at the gateway to Hungary is no ordinary experience: positions at the airport, however diverse, are part of the same experience. Every movement has a common purpose, every part in the airport’s “symphony” is equally important to create harmony. That is why diversity and the community of different personalities is one of the greatest values at Budapest Airport. Thoughtful analysts, calm, reflective personalities, team players and managers, spontaneous types all have a place in the team of the country’s largest international airport.
This is the value conveyed by Budapest Airport’s new employer brand campaign, which is not only another symbol of the company’s exemplary teamwork, but also a message and encouragement to those looking for their path: to get to know themselves, to be proud of the values they carry, as this is the only way to find the career path that will allow them to fulfil their professional potential and the workplace where they can truly soar.
Budapest Airport unveiled its new employer brand video this spring, which has since been awarded bronze in two Hungarian professional competitions. The personality test called “Career Runway” is a continuation of this, helping people to find their career path by getting to know themselves better, while offering an insight into the unique world of the airport. Respondents will also be entered into a prize draw to win a trip for two to the destination that best suits their personality.
In addition to career tips, the personality types resulting from the test are accompanied by short videos that can be an inspiration not only for those who would like to work at the airport. The video reports from employees reveal what values are important to them in a workplace, what makes them look forward to starting a working day even after years of working there, and what super skills they have developed at the airport - in short, what a really good workplace is like for them.
“A team of thousands of people work together at the airport to provide an unforgettable experience for passengers and a pleasant first and last impression of the country for visitors from abroad. This is no small task, because the more passengers we have, the wider the range of personalities, and we can only meet this challenge with diversity, which is our greatest asset,” said Zsuzsa Zahorán-Pirisi, the chief human resources officer of Budapest Airport. She added: “As an HR professional, I see that thorough self-awareness is a prerequisite for a fulfilling career path, and as a manager, I am convinced that a team works really well when a wide range of personalities work together for the same goal: everyone brings their own unique vision and values to the table. I encourage everyone who wants to find the job that not only means a daily task, but also brings them joy, to start the journey by exploring their own personality.”
