Winners of the Prestige Award, founded by László Doszpod and the Prestige Reserve Club, were named for the third time in 2012. The professional and media prize recognizes the highest prestige firms in four categories: the best Hungarian winery, wine-restaurant, wine-bar and wine-shop.
The ceremony took place at Kárpátia restaurant on December 13, 2012. The 2012 trophy, a statue of the pride Bacchus (work of Géza Gáspár sculptor) went to Takler Winery from Szekszárd. In the past decade, this winery produced fabulous terroir wines with full-bodied, fruity flavor, such as the Regnum, Primarius, Cabernet Franc Reserve, Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, Kékfrankos Reserve, Syrah Reserve, Bartina Cuvée and Bikavér Reserve.Two enthusiastic wine experts took part in the laudation of Takler Pincészet: Dr. Tamás Freund academic professor and Péter Bessenyei, world champion of trick-flying. They both respected the enthusiasm and preciseness of Takler Trio and Ferenc Takler.

Best wine-restaurant: Kistücsök, a bistro of Balázs Csapodi which is currently the most popular place in the Balaton region.
Best wine-bar: Budapest’s DiVino that offers a great selection of wine from junior winemakers and a unique atmosphere.
Best wine-shop: Bortársaság Parlament, the latest edition of the Bortársaság branch.
Budapest Week Publishing, represented by Publisher Peter Freed and General Manager Péter Kerényi, presented a communication pack worth HUF 1 million to Ferenc Takler. Further support for the winners was offered by Pauker Nyomda and József Matyók (Borkultusz online), while László Doszpod from Prestige Reserve, and Róbert Láng, owner of Nemere II, the most beautiful sailing boat of last year’s wine-regatta, ensured their co-operation in the upcoming sailing competition as a member of Takler Prestige Team.
